Support Groups

Chronic Pain and Invisible Illnesses support group

We facilitate a small, friendly group where people living with an invisible illness or chronic pain condition can meet others in similar situations. The group offers understanding, friendship, a safe space and a chance to learn from peers.

You are an individual, not a health condition.

Community Friends

We strive to meet the needs of our community and welcome suggestions from people. One person said ‘I dont have an illness and I’m not interested in crafts, but I would like to go somewhere and just be in company’ So we created community friends, an initiative to reduce isolation, with no label, no stigma, just the chance to have a cuppa and a chat in company. Everyone is welcome to join us for tea and biscuits and a friendly chat. We often arrange day trips and in the past have gone to Dobbies garden centre at Morpeth, South Shields for a paddle and fish and chips, and to Newcastle Christmas Market and enjoyed an espresso!
